When you are selecting order choices while placing an order, you may either type in the order choice name or select orders choices from a list in this page. Click the ... button in the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page to access this page. See Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices.

The Order Samples: Order Items page contains a list of all of the possible order choices. Note that some order choices or tabs of order choices may not be available:

• If you have created multiple order choice tabs in your Harvest Webstation Preferences, then the list of order choices is broken down into those tabs. See Configuring Harvest Webstation: Modifying Program Preferences.
• You may modify your advanced configuration options to always select a specific order choice tab when first opening the list of items to order in Harvest Webstation. Contact your Harvest Webstation System Administrator for more information.
• A system administrator in Harvest may modify the advanced configuration options to specify specific tabs are displayed for Harvest Webstation users. Consequently, only order choices present on those tabs may be ordered—all other order choices will be inaccessible.

Sorting the List of Order Items

The list of order choices in the Order Samples: Order Items page may appear to be sorted incorrectly. This may be because some names have been purposefully entered with a space in front of them (e.g., " CBC" in stead of "CBC"). This is done to force commonly used order choices to the beginning of the sorted list. Keep in mind that you would then need to type the space in front of the name if you are entering the order choices from the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page. Otherwise, Harvest Webstation will not recognize your entry. See Troubleshooting.

By default, this list is sorted by Order Choice Abbreviation. To sort the list by Order Choice Name, click that column header. Once you select a different sort column, Harvest Webstation will continue to sort on that column each time the page is displayed until another column is selected or you exit Harvest Webstation. Harvest Webstation displays a small up arrow or down arrow next to the column you are sorting by, indicating whether the sort is ascending (up) or descending (down). Click on the currently sorted column to sort the column in the opposite direction.

You may modify your advanced configuration options to default to sorting on the Order Choice Name instead of the Order Choice Abbreviation. Note that if your facility has a large number of order choices, you may wish to modify the advanced configuration options to return to the display used prior to version 5.5, where you could not sort on column headers because it may take longer to load this page with the column sorting feature. Contact your Harvest Webstation System Administrator for more information.

Selecting Order Items

1. Select each order choice that you wish to include by clicking the checkbox next to the order choice abbreviation. You may also use the spacebar on your keyboard to select a checkbox without using your mouse. Note that if you have set up more than one order choice tab (see above), Harvest Webstation will record all of the selections that you make, even if they are on multiple tabs.

You may click the numeric/alphabetical links above the list to jump to the section of the list that begins with the specified number/letter. You may modify your advanced configuration options to disable this feature, if desired.

2. If you are ordering an Anatomic Pathology specimen, you must enter a number in the blank field to the left of the specimen abbreviation. Note that you may add muliple copies of the same item to the order (this applies to AP specimens only).
3. To view all of the tests associated with an order choice, as well as additional order choice information, click the corresponding Details link. See Order Choice Details.
4. Click the Clear button to clear your selections.
5. When you have made your selections, click the Add Order Choices button to return to the Order Samples: Patient & Order Choices page.
